Although not tested through ASTM: Level 1 / 2 / 3 EN 14683: Type 1, Type 2, Type R, they are manufactured to similar standards. All forms of surgical medical/non-medical protects against infectious agents transmitted by “droplets.” However, it does not protect against “airborne” infectious agents. It will therefore not prevent the wearer from being potentially contaminated by a virus.
